Layoffs in Ohio, Despite Kasich

The job losses keep coming in Ohio.  No matter how much Gov. John Kasich brags about his job creation, the truth is that the layoffs just keep happening:

1.   ODJFS WarnNotices:
Diversapack of Monroe, LLC - Monroe (Butler County) - Number Affected  173
Xanterra Parks & Resorts - College Corner (Butler County) - Number Affected  93

2.   Hoggy's will be closing all but one restaurant in central Ohio. According to the news report on 10TV: ....More than 100 employees are affected by the closures...

3.    Mount Vernon News reports that 84 Lumber in Mount Vernon, Ohio, has closed, with six employees losing jobs.

*  We've found Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor!!!!  Taylor has finally been seen out of her undisclosed location.  Gov. John Kasich seems to have a rather primitive view of what Taylor should do.  It is apparent to many people that Taylor's place on the ticket was just for window dressing.

Taylor's appearance in the Youngstown area must have been set up to try to calm the fears of residents in the earthquake riddled area of Ohio. With eleven earthquakes in the last few months, Kasich and Taylor will have to do a lot to make people feel better about fracking.

BusinessJournal:

As the state continues to look to capitalize on the Marcellus and Utica shale plays, the Kasich Administration's "first priority is to make sure that we are doing all we can to protect the health and safety of our people and the environment," Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor stressed Monday...

....State officials are investigating a potential connection between a brine injection well operated by D&L Energy Group and 11 earthquakes that struck the Mahoning Valley last year, including a 4.0 temblor that shook the region New Year's Eve. The well is used to dispose of wastes produced by the shale fracking process.....

.....Shale drilling was the focus of the four protestors who stood in front of the South Avenue banquet hall. Jaime Frederick of Coitsville said she was protesting on behalf of her and her family who, she said, have been made "seriously ill" by fracking chemicals. The chamber "should be promoting green jobs and green energy that do not make us sick," she said. Drinking water that she hadn't been aware was contaminated "almost took [her] life," she said.....

Do you really think that Kasich and Taylor will stop the drilling if scientists find that the activity is causing the earthquakes?
