Ready or Not!

The Ohio State University Athletics Hall of Fame will be adding a few more people, according to the Dispatch. The Dispatch list includes Michael Redd, Andy Katzenmoyer, the late Neal Colzie, Dick LeBeau, Robert Gary, Bob Hopper, Pandel Savic, Kaja Fiserova, Allison Hanna, Vanessa Immordino, Emma Laaksonen, and Jim Montrella.
Dispatch:
....The inductions will take place Sept. 25, and the new class will be introduced at halftime of the football game against Illinois on Sept. 26.

* Republican Rep. John Boehner doesn't feel your pain. While you struggle to pay your mortgage, feed the kids, and put gas in the car, Boehner is out golfing. Boehner is spending mega bucks on fancy golf courses, according to the Washington Post. (I guess he doesn't meet too many unemployed people out there on the greens.) Washington Post:

....Last month, the Ohio Republican's political action committee, Freedom Project, revealed it spent $10,657.46 on greens fees and food and beverages at the swanky Ritz Carlton of Naples, Fla., in April.

And now, his PAC's newly filed campaign report with the Federal Election Commission for May shows Boehner's PAC spent twice that much -- $20,816.65 -- on golf at the Ritz.

Which means Boehner spent a total of $31,474.11 on a golf fundraiser for friends, lobbyists and anyone else who wanted intimate tee time with the House's top Republican.....

I'm sure we'd like to know which lobbyists Boehner has been hanging with on those courses.

* Ready or not, the Naked Cowboy will be singing in his hometown, Greenhills, Ohio, according to the Dispatch. However, not everyone is happy about it. Dispatch:

....The Naked Cowboy, whose real name is Robert Burck, has traveled across the country for more than a decade, donning a guitar and singing in his underwear.

His scheduled performance Friday, however, has sparked resentment from Greenhills mayoral candidate Pat Andwan....

.....Calling Andwan a "lunatic," Burck dismissed her comments and said he plans to perform at the festival for those who have been proud of his accomplishments. "I've been in my underwear for 10 years, going from city to city, so I'm aware there are people out there who are not underwear-friendly."

I'm sure the people of Greenhills will enjoy a little excitement.
