The Chosen Few
It appears that if you are a friend of Ohio's Republican Governor John Kasich, you can get a cushy part-time job.
Dispatch:
Stephanie Ranade-Krider, former legislative director of Ohio Right to Life, has been named executive director of the organization after a six-month stint in Gov. John Kasich’s administration.
Ranade-Krider, who, starting in January was paid $32.41 an hour in a part-time position as program manager for the Governor’s Cabinet Opiate Action Team, will return to Right to Life on Aug. 4, President Mike Gonidakis announced yesterday. She will oversee programs, activities and lobbying....
Wow! A part-time job at $32.41/hr. would be a good thing for those in Ohio that are unemployed and underemployed! Unfortunately, only special friends can get jobs like that! Meanwhile, the waitress at your local restaurant has either a teaching or accounting degree.
Special part-time jobs and those multi-million dollar development grants to retain jobs tend to go to Kasich's special friends. Kasich ignored the job losses at Ormet, Lockheed Martin, Bechtel, EveryWare, and other large employers, while smaller well-connected companies got grants to retain under 50 jobs. When Kasich did respond, it was too late.
We need a governor that cares about all the people of Ohio---not just his friends!
Support and vote for Democrat Ed FitzGerald for Ohio Governor.
