>Republicans in Congress continue to protect tax cuts for oil companies, millionaires, billionaires, owners of private jets, and other groups. Those on Medicare and those of us soon to be on Medicare, are worried that our future will nosedive so that Republicans can guarantee to provide tax cuts for their buddies and contributors. Why are Republicans promoting their ideology and politics? It might be best summed up by something that Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell said on October 25, 2010.

Did you notice that McConnell did not say that he wanted to achieve total employment or economic growth or a healthier America? No. McConnell is willing to do anything to make Obama "....a one-term president."
*** I hope the Ohio Senate is not overworking! The Republican-controlled Ohio Senate has released their work schedule for July 2011. According to the Ohio Senate calendar website, there is only one session planned for the entire month: July 13th. Wouldn't you like a part time job that pays $60,000/year? In this case, the state senators are making $5,000 for the month of July for one day of work.
The Ohio House will only meet for two days in July, if needed, and there are no scheduled sessions in August!
