Kasich Still Tanking

Dispatch:

Despite signing a historic budget, Gov. John Kasich's approval rating took a dive among Ohio voters, a new poll released today shows.

Exactly half of Ohioans disapprove of the Republican governor's performance, while 35 percent approve, the Quinnipiac Poll says. Two months ago it was 49 percent approving and 38 percent disapproving.

And the push to repeal Senate Bill 5, supported strongly by Kasich and most legislative Republicans, grew stronger. Right now the repeal effort would win by 24 points; in May it was up by 18....

Kasich's approval rating is only 35% and his disapproval is at 50%.

The Quinnipiac Poll reveals more about how Ohioans really feel about the governor, and it isn't pretty.  If you have an opportunity to review the entire poll, you'll notice that John Kasich gets some of the highest ratings from people in west central Ohio.  This might explain why the governor repeatedly travels to Sinclair Community College to talk to "business leaders" because these are his strong supporters.

With apologies to Sally Field, this Quinnipiac poll can be summed up in one way---

To John Kasich:  The people of Ohio just do not like your agenda.
