Because of the draconian cuts made to education in Ohio by Gov. Kasich and his Republican minions in the the Ohio House and Senate, we are already hearing about personnel cuts in various school districts.

...In Middletown, more than 60 reductions have contributed to what has been projected to be thousands of education jobs to be lost in Ohio during current budget cycle. District officials say only six teachers needed to be laid off this year because of a successful early retirement incentive package which was accepted by more than 50 educators. This opened the door to reducing positions by means of attrition....
...He said that in Middletown’s case, reductions will not impact class offerings. What is inevitable, however, is that more kids will populate those classes....
SNPonline details the layoffs at Canal Winchester Schools:
....In April, the board slashed $3.7 million from its budget and implemented a series of cost-saving measures in order to balance its budget.
As a result of the cuts, nearly 52 teachers, staff and administrators lost their jobs and a pay-to-participate fee structure, which increases fees to $300 in the 2011-2012 school year; $450 in 2012-2013, and $600 in the 2013-2014, was implemented......
