If you want to reverse this punitive plan by Kasich, make sure you get yourself involved in the effort to repeal SB 5: ProtectOhioFamilies, OhioDems.
* With the passage of SB 5, state employees, firefighters, police officers, teachers, and nurses have lost seniority privileges as well as step increases. The 350,000 union workers know that Gov. John Kasich and the Ohio Republicans are to blame.

...A recent plan proposed by Gov. John Kasich would change the number of shifts at one watchtower at the Lebanon Correctional Institution on Ohio 63, a close-security prison, and close six watchtowers at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, the state’s maximum-security prison.
Kasich said the state could save more than $2.1 million by closing the watchtowers. A total of 32 positions would be affected, including four at LCI.
Of the 31 state prisons, only Lucasville and Lebanon have watchtowers, said JoEllen Smith, a spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections....

* In an effort to hide what the Kasich administration is doing, several agencies, divisions, and offices, are being moved into the JobsOhio realm.
