Ask the Republicans how many times they voted to raise the debt when George W. Bush was President.  In an article from a few days ago at Crooks and Liars, we have this little tidbit:

"Reagan," Vice President Dick Cheney famously declared in 2002, "proved deficits don't matter." Not, that is, unless a Democrat is in the White House.

As Donny Shaw documented in January 2010, Republican intransigence on the debt ceiling only began in earnest when Bush left the White House for good....


The Republicans are doing all they can to try to derail the administration and the country. This is not patriotic----it is partisan.
