Newsweek has just come out with their list of the best high schools in America. You'll notice something immediately about Ohio's list.

If you haven't figured out the ranking of Ohio's high schools on this list, I can tell you that they are all public schools with open enrollment except for Columbus Alternative, which is a magnet school.

I never thought I'd see the day when politicians would attack a
college education, yet Josh Mandel's refusal to support Sen. Sherrod

Being a student at Ohio State University and relying heavily on the
maximum Pell Grant, and having friends who are already burdened with
student loans, I understand both the strong desire to obtain a college
education and the struggles to afford it.
Brown understands the importance of a college education in building a competitive, modern work force. Mandel told The Columbus Dispatch that
college degrees were unnecessary and urged young people to pursue
vocational degrees, clearly unaware that countless students use Stafford
loans to pay for vocational and trade schools....
Josh Mandel is more concerned with himself, the cronies he hired, the wealthy special interest groups that are funding his campaign, and the anti-middle class business owners that supported SB 5 (Issue 2) and now support Mandel. Josh Mandel opposes clean air/water regulations and believes his business pals should be able to dump whatever they please into our environment. Mandel believes that the EPA's regulations kills jobs. Without those EPA regulations, children, women, men, livestock, and crops would be sick and possibly dead. Why is Josh Mandel willing to protect polluters instead of families and farms?
