Have you signed up to help defeat SB 5?

*  To repeal SB 5 and push back on the Kasich power grab, organizers for the referendum need your help. Check with the group working to Repeal SB 5.

We cannot allow people like Kasich and the Koch Brothers to control our state and our workforce.

*  Did you know that Republican Rep. Steve Stivers (OH-15th), a former bank lobbyist, supported the bill to allow students to take tax money in order to go to private, religious schools?  Stivers was a co-sponsor of HR 471

* Conservative Republicans are pushing Josh Mandel to run against Democratic U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, according to the Columbus Dispatch.  Mandel, currently serving as Ohio Treasurer, just assumed office a couple of months ago.  Mandel waged a very dirty campaign last fall and is known as being very conservative.  He has totally avoided discussing SB 5, but if he runs, his stance on the legislation will be front and center.

*  Gov. John Kasich is spending more tax dollars.  The Republic:

Republican Gov. John Kasich is expected to soon hire a consultant to explore how Ohio's gambling market could be expanded beyond casinos and lottery games, and what money that could generate.

One of the first possibilities up for analysis could be allowing thousands of video game-like slot machines at seven horse-racing tracks in the state, Kasich spokesman Rob Nichols told The Plain Dealer in Cleveland....

I suppose that the expert will be someone that Kasich already knows--- from out of state.
