>>>> In an article in The Philadelphia Inquirer, Pennsylvania Gov. Corbett's approval rating is compared to Kasich's:
....A Quinnipiac University poll released today said changing attitudes among women voters has helped give Corbett a 44-36 percent job approval rating, a cushy boost over his dismal 39-38 percent rating in June.
And that's better than a lot of his governor colleagues in neighboring states, the survey found: Ohio Gov. John Kasich had only a 35 percent approval rating, with a whopping 50 percent disapproving, as of last month. And New Jersey Gov. Christopher J. Christie had a 44-47 percent score.
Women voters don't like bullies.
>>>> In an article in The Hill, Kasich is referred to a an extremist in the Republican Party:
....As the anti-tax group led by the Republicans’ master, Grover Norquist, fights it out with those that oppose any cuts to defense spending, Democrats should stand back and let them divide themselves, further demonstrating how out of control things have become in an extremist party that has shown yet again it cannot lead America effectively. Thanks to the actions of governors like John Kasich of Ohio and Scott Walker in Wisconsin, the GOP extremism argument is not a hard sell as voters continue to say, “This is not what I voted for.”
Those that voted for John Kasich (not me!) are certainly disgusted with his anti-middle class, anti-public school, anti-teacher, anti-police, anti-fire fighter, anti-female, anti-diversity, anti-senior citizens, anti-Ohio constitution, anti-environment, and anti-everything agenda. Ohioans have just been turned off by his abrasive, arrogant attitude, among other things (including a huge increase in the use of flying state planes-see WKYC ) several times per week).
>>>>>> Politico has an article called, Governing From the Center, but it is not referring to Kasich as one of those moderates.
Politico:
....while governors like Walker and Kasich have emerged as national conservative and Republican celebrities – and are, according to public polling, three of the four least popular of the new class of governors — Sandoval and Martinez have fought to keep their heads down and the ideological stakes low....
Ohioans know what kind of a governor Kasich has been. While we suffer through three and a half more years of his term, I'm surprised that some enterprising person hasn't offered Kasich for bid on Ebay, as was done to former OSU President, Karen Holbrook, during her brief tenure. Given Ohio's continuing job losses, the only bidders would probably be some of Kasich's rich buddies, and political kool-aid drinkers.
