The slow moving Republicans in the Ohio legislature have just seemed to discover that Ohioans do not approve of the "payday lenders" and their business practices. In today's Dispatch, Republican Speaker of the House Jon Husted said "....that he senses growing support in his caucus for a lower interest-rate cap on payday lenders, and he wants a bill passed within two weeks...."
{Don't you wish that he'd also get Ohio school funding passed that quickly?}
However, some of the Republicans just aren't hearing very well. Some of these legislators who are friendly with "payday lenders" need to hear from you. If you would like to get involved in some political action, call or e-mail the following Republicans (from the Ohio House Financial Institutions, Real Estate, and Securities Committee) and tell them you want a cap on "payday lenders" asap:
